BLENDER (BEGINNER)

Ok, since I can pretty much do everything (no litterly) I will help out you less, MOD skilled people. If you just want to find your way threw the MODDING world you need to know how right? Right! First them tutorials on  DCMF and other places are right, but too complicated. First, blender is just pretty much putting spheres, squares, and ovals together to form a object. That is what makes it so impressive. Using meta spheres when you place them close together they absorb each other. So place each object together, building up want you want. Through in some squares, and you can get very, very detailed! It will take some practice but it really is that simple. Now this is for starters just doing basic MODS and experements! If you think your ready for step two, then I'll post a intermidiate paragraph. But first just try this! Also, to open up properties for a object, right click and hold it. Thats how you can delete, resize, and copy the objects. Hope this helped!

BLENDER (INTERMIDIATE)

Ok, so you are ready for the next part in blender. Step one: Exporting .msh's into blender. First go to Program Files, Blender Foundation, Blender, .Blender then create a file called meshes or whatever it doeasn't matter. Open it then put a .msh file in there. EXAMPLE: cos_m_90s_2.msh Right click the file, click add to archive and then change the last three letters from .msh to .blend and then do the same process and name on .blender And one last time the same process and create one called .3ds You can also create these files just in .blender and no meshes file if you want. Now creating files from scratch, useing meta objects is a very smart idea since meta will fuse together. Tubes are best for simple limbs, base bodys and some heads. To smooth a body or object the plane is one of the best. To get meta objects, click add up by the file button, then meta and your corresponding object. Meta spheres, or ball, is great for eyes. Now to move forward, backward, side to side, move viewing angle. To change the viewing angle, hold Alt and click on the grid and move it in any direction. The viewing angle will move to the side, top, etc. To move a object forward, backward, right click the object then select move object. Moving the object upward pushes it backward past the grid. Pulling it down pulls it in front of the grid. To move the object up or down click the green arrow going up to move it up or down. To move the object left or right click the red arrow. (I think the colors are right, if not the arrow pointing up moves it up and down, the one pointing right goes left and right)

Retexturng Costumes With Paint(For Beginners)

I have had multiple people asking me how to retexture. So this is how:

1-Choose your costume in MED.

2-Save your costume to desktop under a new file.(to do this, when MED loads up and it asks you wat folder you want to work in select desktop, then click make new folder and rename it whatever you want)

3-Open up your folder out of MED and go to textures.

4-Look for the one that says cos or com at the beginning.

5-Copy and paste that file on desktop.

6-Open up DDS Converter and convert the cos or com texture to PNG,BMP,JPEG, or any other picture file that would be compatible with MS Paint.

7-Once the conversion is complete, right click on the file and select open with...select Paint.

8-Once your texture is opened edit it in paint any way you like, once your done, overwrite it on desktop.

9-Now here comes th epart where you have to be tricky, renaming, right click on your texture and select rename.(ex:if the file name is cos_m_fut_tz3_5.bmp you should change it to something new, you would change the name to something like cos_m_fut_new_1.bmp)

10-Now since you have edited and renamed your texture, it's time to change the picture back to DDS, open up DDS Converter, and then convert the image to BMP(the reason you do this is to prevent the texture from going blue)after the conversion to BMP is done, convert it to DDS

11-Open up the same costume under the same folder in MED, and on the left colum, selcet the costume texture and click change.

12-A box should appear. In that box, click the button(near the top)that says Import New Texture

13-Another box should appear, select your edited texture and click open.

14-Now once that Import Box has disappeared, select the edited texture among the list of textures and click finish.

You may not see your texture, this may be why: In your right colum, there are three tabs at the top. Select and click the tab that says Appearence.

15-Look in the bottom white space if you see any names ending in dds, delete them.

You're all done! I'll tell you how to save into a new costume category of your own in the next Tutorial!
